GF Compass is a mobile-first map for gluten-free travelers. It shows restaurants near you (photos, hours, phone, directions) from Google Places, and every restaurant has a one-tap deep-link to search that venue on FindMeGlutenFree for the real GF verdict.
Why we built this
Google Maps is great at "restaurants near me" but has no way to weigh options for gluten-free strictness. FindMeGlutenFree is the source of GF truth but is harder to browse on a map. GF Compass is the discovery layer; FMGF stays the source of truth.
Companion posture
GF Compass does not scrape or ingest data from findmeglutenfree.com. Every "Check GF" button opens a search on their site directly, driving them attribution and traffic. Gluten-free ratings and reviews live on findmeglutenfree.com — please support them.
Privacy
No accounts. No cookies. No individual tracking — Cloudflare Web Analytics records anonymous aggregate page views and country only, no personal data. Your favorites are stored only in your browser's localStorage. Your location is used only for the current search and never leaves your device except to fetch restaurants from the API.
Data sources
Restaurant photos, reviews, hours, and phone numbers are from Google Places. Gluten-free ratings and reviews are on findmeglutenfree.com, accessed via the "Check GF" deep-link.
